Just for Janna

I can't spell, we all know this. Today I have had to spell one of my most favorite words over and over and over and over again and I'll be danged if I STILL cannot get it right! I keep getting a squiggly red line under it in Word. Ugh.

Vaccuum

Vacume

vacuum

ugh. . .I should just put, "The diaphragm creates a Hover or Dyson in the thoracic cavity" and see if maybe I can get partial credit for being so freaking funny (rolling eyes here)!

Here's a picture just for the "why not" of it :)
This is called, "Elmo loves pitsaaa mommee." (elmo loves pizza mommy)

It's all running together

The lymphatic system drains into the . . .The fetal by-pass of the pulmonary circuit. . .the erythrocytes are made in the red marrow of the long bones of the axial skeleton. . .ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I love this but it's so much info in such a short amount of time. I have another test tomorrow. . .I don't feel too prepared for it but such is life. . .

Summer Fun in the Water

If you cannot tell :)

If you cannot tell by my lack of posts, I have started my Anatomy and Physiology 2 class. It is a six week summer course on the heart, respiration, blood, vessels, lymphatic system, immune system, digestive system, nutrition/metabolism/body temperature and regulation, Urinary system, fluid/electrolyte, and acid-base balance, reproductive system, and pregnancy and human development. Yes, all of this, plus all lab-work in 6 weeks. I haven't seen the light of day in the last 4 days. It's only been 4 days and it feels like 2 weeks at least! I really miss my girl Loren! In class today, the prof says, "Okay, now don't forget we have an exam on Monday next week. Oh and that Monday we will go over all of the vessels of the body and you have an exam on those, plus the heart, plus the blood on Wednesday." Talk about PRESSURE!

So please say a prayer for our family during this time. Mike has been taking over all of the housework while aunt Mina takes care of Loren all day. Plus Aunt Mina has been going above and beyond for the last week helping Mike out. Poor Mike said to me today, "Honey, don't forget. .. "and I cut him off and said, "Baby, if you want me 'not to forget' something in the next 5 weeks, you had better do it yourself or write me a note" as I bust into tears. See what this poor man has to go through :)

So if you all are wondering why I stupidly have put myself through this for the summer, the answer is this: Our pregnancy and due date kind of put a wrench in my academic plans. If I do not take this class (and pass with a C) by December, I cannot apply to the Sonography program until May of '09. However, If I can get this class finished before December of '07 then I can apply to the program in May of '08. You can only apply in May. Obviously I can't do A and P 2 in the fall with my due date October 28. So, this is my only option. Besides, it's 6 hell-on-earth weeks and then it's done. So, like I said earlier, please pray for our CRAZY family at this time in our lives.

Ahhhh the joys!

So mommy decided this morning that she was going to have a relaxing time. I ran a warm bath in my new soaker tub and had a cup of coffee and a good book. Well, two seconds into my bath I hear pitter, patter, pitter, patter, pitter, patter. In comes "peek-a-boo-Loren". "Mommy, nakie girl time! Me nakie girl!" With that, she takes off her P.J.'s (which I didn't know she could do) and she strips of her diaper (thank God it was clean) and climbs on in my tub. Oh I wish that I could have tape-recorded the fun we had! We splish-splashed, she washed mommy's "baby-belly-tummy", she scrubbed mommy's hair and she and I tickle-tickled! At first I was a bit perturbed that she had infiltrated my "relaxation time" but we ended up having such a blast together. Mommy and baby girl time is the BEST!

Loren's **HOLY COW** 18 Month Appointment

Well as far as stats go, she is 28.5 pounds and 35 inches long. They said she is the average size of a 2.5 year old! Oh wow!

Anyway, the doctor started asking questions about her and almost fell off of her chair.

1) Does she have at least 6 words?
No she has about 150 words to 200.

2) Are you sure?
Loren said to this, "Mommy, want paci! Froggie has fours toes!"
Doctor: "OH MY GOSH!"

3) Does she sing?
Yes, she knows her ABC's, Bingo, Old McDonald, etc.
To which the Doctor's jaw hit the floor especially when Loren started to actually sing the entire ABC's

4) What else does she do that is this advanced?
She can count to ten without help. Again the doctor's jaw hit the floor.

5) What kind of things does she do physically?
She hangs, she swings by her arms, walks on balance beams, jumps, etc.

The doctor said that after observing her he was amazingly impressed with her. He said she is doing things he doesn't even expect most of his 3 year olds to be able to do. The doctor said, "You are going to have your hands full aren't you!?!"

I thought Loren's development was "normal" but supposedly she is extremely advanced for being 18 months old. The doctor said that he has never seen an 18 month old as advanced as she is. HOLY COW!

Fearless and stubborn!

Here is Loren's last day of Little Gym for this semester. We ended up having to leave early because she started to act out tremendously. Here are the pictures pre-screaming tantrum!

Can you help me understand?

I don't understand how it could be possible to love another baby as much as I love Loren. Is there really more room in a heart for another? I don't understand how it happens. Look at this sweet face:

I was rocking her to sleep last night and I just melted. Will it happen again? Can it happen again? Loren just is my sunshine. She makes me laugh, she makes my heart melt. It just makes me happy to be her mommy. I am scared it won't happen for the next. I mean I know it will but I still wonder, how I could possibly love another as much as I love her. It blows me away.

Okay here's a really funny picture of Loren and her "Aunt Mina". I just adore the face Loren is giving Melinda!

And here are just some adorable pictures of Loren in her beloved Aunt Mina's shirt:

Sorry Ladies, you got screwed

In the husband department that is! I'm sorry to tell you that I got the best husband in the world! Not only did I get to sleep in this morning until 9:00 am I also received BREAKFAST IN BED! Mike brought me breakfast burritos, salsa, milk, and some of the best coffee I've ever tasted. Plus he brought me one of my favorite movies to watch while I sat in bed. I almost hate to admit I'm watching a Christmas movie in the middle of June but hey, it's one of my favorites and he brought it up and put it in for me to watch. (Home Alone). On top of that, he's been up here 3 times to re-fill my coffee. So you see ladies, you got screwed. Sorry.
