1955 Murder Mystery Party

Mom and Dad hosted a 1955 Murder Mystery Party. It was so much fun to get into costume! Michael was one of the actors. In fact, most people were convinced that he was the murderer.

Doctors Appointment

So our little boy isn't so little! He's 32 inches long and 29lbs! I think I should be nominated for sainthood for taking a 1 year old and 2 year old to the doctor by myself. Both of them ended up with shots (loren for the flu and Zach for his yearly).

Now, here's the highlight of the visit:
I'm holding Zach and the doctor has to examine Zach's Nether-regions. Of course, Loren has her nosey nose in everything. The doctor pulls off Zach's diaper and here is the exchange:

Loren: Those are Zach's privates.
Doctor: Yes, I know that.
Loren: Zach's privates are really big.
Doctor (straight faced): Yes, well, Zach's a big boy and big boys have big privates.
Loren: His privates are stinky.
Doctor (straight faced but mouth tugging a bit into a smile): Well Loren, sometimes privates are stinky.
Loren: My privates aren't stinky.
Doctor: Let's change the subject

A Very Cookie Birthday

A Story in Pictures:

The night before I went to Tish's house to get the cake. On the way home, Cookie lost his fur! OH NO! Tish came over and had to re-fur him :)! Loren really wanted a piece of cake!

As soon as I got the kids to bed I began making the sugar cookies for the decorating. What a mess! It was fun but it was a MESS!

Look at my eyebrow. Yes, that's flour all over myself! Doh!

The kids decorating cookies! There were close to 12 kids there! They had fun decorating the cookies! What a mess! I just folded everything up into that vinyl tablecloth and pitched it when the party was over!

After that he had it all figured out! YUMMY! He CRIED when I took it away.

Happy Birthday sweet birthday boy! Mommy loves you. You are my treasure. 1 year ago I my "boy" suspicions were confirmed with the most precious words ever. . ."It's a boy!" There are so many hopes and dreams I have for you. The most important is that the Joy and Love you have been gifted from God the father never leave you. My son. . .there were so many who said I would never have you, but here you are. . .my beloved boy. Many happy returns my sweet and perfect son!

How a Man Hunt Saved My Week

There was a man hunt for the entire morning for our area. I demande that Mike stay home with us :) Anyway, he was caught 4 miles from our house! Scary!

Anyway, Mike got a lot of his busy work done and I was able to take a break! It was awesome! Sorry. . .so bad turns good!!!
