I snapped this picture this morning using my camera phone. I know you can't tell what he is doing but it's breakfast time and Daddy is taking time to do a devotion with the Children. He does this every morning before he jets off to work! He always takes time to pray with them and instruct them in God's word. (do you like my "coffee" that I served this morning . . . oops, I was out but since we only got 4 hours of sleep last night, we needed the jolt. :) I guess that's another reason to love Mike; he doesn't complain when I forget to buy things like coffee! He just rolls with the punches!)

We have a devotional book my parents did with me when I was little. It's called "Little Visits With God." (Copyright 1957 :) ). I love the stories and applications for kids Zach and Loren's age. Mike and I have such a good time listening to the kids responses at the end of each lesson! Today's lesson was about a little boy named Orville (haaa!!!) and the question was: "What do you tell Jesus if you choose to do other things rather than go to his house to worship him." In so many words the kids were able to tell Mike that "you're telling God he's not important." I love this time of the morning!
And, just an aside:

This is another thing Mike does! Every morning he takes time to give Zach some much needed attention! Zach always walks out with him and Mike gives him a little talk and hug before he heads off to work. It's sweet that Mike knows our children's needs and he provides them each with attention and love.
