Wild Hair!
I am in a renovation mood! I painted my fireplace black to match our entertainment towers (finally) and I'm going to strip wallpaper and paint it Mark Twain Green (a dark sage) and Anthem White. So, I want a yellow room. Here's my question, does anyone have a yellow room in their house? I don't want to have a sunshine room and I don't really want a mustard room. I just wanted to know if you have a color you have used and if you like it?

Baptism
So this Sunday was the kids' baptism! It was a really wonderful time! We were so blessed to have Mike's parents in town for an extended weekend! The baptism was so wonderful. . .that is considering THE TWO YEAR OLD! She did not want to be up there at all! All of her friends were sitting on the ground, so guess where she wanted to be. She pitched a royal fit! She fought the pastor to "get down." The best is when she looks at Mike and I and cries, "WHAT IS HAPPENING TO NO-REN??" It was typical! Otherwise, it was just so special! Zach was an angel! Although we couldn't hardly squeeze him into the 6-9 month outfit we bought for him last month! He did look rather cute though. What an awesome responsibility we've been given! God is good!
Zach and Grandpa at the reception!
They were so mean to my pot-bellied boy! Life is good! They thought about giving him a beer can :)!
My sweet friend Tish made these amazing gifts for Loren and Zach! I will put their pictures in them to remember the day! She took a lot of time to make something so adorable for my children!
Mom and her buddy Debbie! This is a typical pose. . .them grinning ear to ear! I'm sure some "Piglet" joke was involved!

Contest Entry
In thinking about what to enter in this contest I was taken backthrough my many, many (and my husband would add another "many") visits toBabymoon Boutique. I remember first finding Babymoon when we moved here in May. I was soexcited to get in there because I was at the time 4 months pregnant with myson. A pregnancy that I was told would never happen. I did an illegal,all-be-it necessary, u-turn on highway 94 to get there. I remember walking in and immediately seeing the quaint little room at the back of the store. I kind of bee-lined back there to take a look. I remember that I couldn'twait to nurse in there some day. I even bought a nursing bra inanticipation of the day!
My son came a hot day in October and I couldn't wait to get into BabymoonBoutique to shop-till-I-dropped! I went in one day with my son andremembered the back room. Even though it wasn't time for him to eat, I hadto nurse him just to use the room! It was so relaxing and felt so perfect!I will never forget the way he looked and the way I felt.
Unfortunately nursing didn't work out with my son. We were only able tonurse for 9 weeks due to issues out of our control. I was sorelydisappointed. I think every mom anticipates this perfect nursingexperience. Mine didn t turn out that way. I mourned the loss deeply.
One day last month I went into Babymoon for a swaddle blanket that would fitthe needs of my tall son! I saw the back room! I had completely forgotabout it! I slowly walked back there and this perfect flood of emotionscame over me! I reflected back on a special time that a silly room in theback of a children's boutique gave to my son and me. I couldn t believe howI felt standing there remembering. Babymoon has given me a priceless gift;a nostalgic memory that fills me with warmth. Thanks to a perfect littleroom I will always remember that perfect day, the perfect way my son lookedat me, and the perfect intimacy I felt with him.

HOLY COW!! I WON!
Hi Kimberly!
Congratulations, you were the winner in our first annual "Celebrate Your Babymoon" contest sponsored by Babymoon Boutique and History Speaks. When we were brainstorming what our next contest was going to center on, we thought one of the best stories people have are their experiences with the birth of a child. The wide range of emotions and bonds that are created are so priceless - what better than to be preserved, shared and enjoyed with a Photographic Narrative - and a free one at that! . . .
For more information on Photographic Narratives, you can visit our website at www.historyspeaks.net.
I'M SO EXCITED!!
I entered this contest and wrote about an experience I had at the store with my Zachy-boy and my essay won!! Stupid me. . .I didn't save the essay. . .I never thought I would actually win!!! I just can't believe it! I mean I really can't believe it!!!!
I'm sorry, it is a compilation of my pictures of my pregnancy, birth, and first month with Zach! They will put it to music and have Mike and my voice remembering the events of our son's development and birth!!!!!!!!!!!
