OUR SON!

Our adorable boy is doing well! I took him into his 18 month appointment.

Of course he is in the >97% for both height and weight. He weighs 32lbs and is 35inches long. Amazing!

He has surpassed his developmental sheet as well. He has close to a 95 word vocabulary as well as being able to string together 2 - 3 word sentences.

Now I just have to get that pacifier away from him. . .good luck with that huh?


**** oh and my pity party is over. I just have to realize that all I'm asked to do is my best in each aspect. Being a perfectionist really sucks sometimes. I know that I'm doing and trying my best. I just want everything to be perfect. . .alas. . .my house is a pig-sty but I had a great time at the park yesterday with my children. Which was more important :) ******

Oh Boy

So am I the only one who feels like they've never got it together? I swear I feel like I just can't do anything well. I feel like I'm spread out over a million different things and that none of them are being done well! Mom, wife, Children's Worship Coordinator, Leadership Team, Plant Church, Daughter, Sister, Friend. I feel as though I'm not doing well in any area so I feel like a failure. . .Just me having a pity party over here! Whew! Off to do yet another load of laundry and take our son to his 18 mo appointment.

Every Easter, my father has eaten the ears off of our Chocolate Bunnies and blamed it on the Easter Bunny. Well, it should come as no surprise when he did it to his own grandchildren's bunnies :)!

Monkey see, monkey do! Loren needed her helmet so she could "be safe. . ." Well Zach had to have one too. I don't have one for him. So he saw mine and insisted on wearing it! Loren even climbed up to get it and put it on him herself.

I don't know why I love this picture of him but I do! It's just a picture into his generous soul. This sweet baby was having a bit of trouble and Mike left worship and went and held him so his parents could worship. Plus. . .well, my husband is so hot :)

This Past Week

What a blast! This past week was so much fun! This past weekend was our 30th birthday party! There were so many family and friends! It was so much fun to see everyone! I loved seeing all of the children! It was wonderful! The gifts were so much fun! Everyone brought something to represent the number of years they have known us! It was awesome to see the creativity! There was a chocolate bunny and 3/4 of a bunny for 1 3/4 years, Bonnie and Bob got us a huge jar with the appropriate number of golf tees and balls. My parents gave us 30 Excedrine Migrane representing the numbers of years they've had to put up with me and they gave Mike $10 as a payoff ;)! There was a 6 month baby sleeper from a newer set of friends! I thought that was clever! All of the ideas cracked me up!






The rest of the week was spent with Lisa Bearss.

Lisa is my best friend from college. We joke and call each other our "Person" (From Grey's Anatomy). Really, there is no better word for it. Anyway, we had a slumber party all week! We were up laughing so hard every night until well past midnight! I thought she would be bored stiff all week but we really had a great time. She got to spend a lot of quality time with her Godchildren too. My children are so blessed to have a Godmother who has committed to pray for them all of the days of their lives. I am so grateful for Lisa's faithfulness in that. I got a bit teary a few times watching her with them :). . .then she would make some crack and I would be on the floor laughing. I can't wait until this summer when I get to spend more time with her!

In all, this 30th birthday has been the best birthday of my LIFE! I've never been happier!

Today my love Michael turns 30! Yes, I know, I married a younger man . . .robbed the cradle, etc. I'm a cougar. . .what can I say :)

All I know is that I couldn't be more proud, more happy, more excited and more blessed among all women to have the honor of growing old him!
