Currently I'm watching my son do Wi Fit. He's quite adorable.
Mike has been doing really well at his job lately. He won a big program. It's great on many levels but on others, it sucks :)! For instance, he's got job security for a long while. . .however, last week he ended up working 8 hours overtime. Plus he's been out of town a lot. It stinks but I'm happy that he LOVES what he's doing. It really makes a difference when you adore your job. He does! >He's currently working on his 3rd Masters! I know, he's amazing (Yes, I've still yet to get mine. . .I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up ;) Maybe I'll join the "family business" and go work with Mike, Mom and Kristopher.) The nice thing is that his company pays for his schooling. That's really nice. We are so fortunate in a lot of ways!
Loren. . .what to say about our sweetheart! She's 3 going on 30. I love that her teachers call her "Unnaturally Brilliant." She is definitely her father's daughter! What is funny is that she just marches to the beat of her own drum! I just wish I could figure out how to upload the video of her gymnastics performance! Let's just say that she did NOTHING her classmates were doing :). Mom and I had tears running down our face! Her Hoshimoto's Syndrome seems to be stabilizing. It is still amazing to us that she EATS! I mean without a fight! We went to a friends house a couple of weeks ago and my friend hadn't seen her eat since we diagnosed her. My friend sat there with her jaw on the floor! I mean it's an amazing difference. . .like a mute child suddenly speaking. It's that amazing to us! What we've enjoyed lately is her new imaginary friends. She doesn't have a set friend. She has 5 "My Little Friends" who are literally "Little." She holds them in her hands, puts them in her pocket and backpack. Her favorite is a little girl who wears a bow in her hair. Mike got creeped out at first when she started talking to them. That was funny! Of course with Loren we still worry that she's going to break a bone before she's 5 with all of her. . .ummmm. . ."tricks." She's just a daredevil! The pediatrician has been warned!
Loren holding her "Little Friends"
Zachary is another brilliant child. He's trying to say his ABC's and prayers. He sings "Elmo's World." He has close to a 250 word vocabulary (yes Mike and I counted). He speaks very clearly. That's a good thing but it's also a frustrating thing that he's going through his "terrible twos" at 18 months. But the nice thing is that he is able to clearly communicate his wants and needs. . .I mean I have already got him to poo-poo and pee-pee on the potty for me. He doesn't want to any more. . .it kind of scared him. Now he tells me AFTER his business is done. Now if Loren is going to break a bone before she's 5 he'll do it by age 3. MONKEY SEE, MONKEY DO! This child is a CLIMBER and I'm talking WORSE than Loren. For instance, tonight he got a dining room chair, dragged it across the room, climbed on my hutch just to reach a car that I had set on top. By time he goes to bed mommy is WHIPPED!
My son found the garden hose :)
Me. Boring. I'm working hard on Childrens Ministry for Mercy Road Fellowship. We are planning VBS currently. Honestly Mercy Road takes up a lot of our time. This week I have a MR meeting 4 of the 7 days this week. It's so much work. I'm doing well on my 30 in 30 list. I'll have to post an update about that soon. I've had a lot of people ask about it lately. Last weekend I got to do something I haven't done since I was pregnant with Zach . . .GOLF(BTW - imagine a 6 month pregnant woman trying to golf. . .funnnnnny )! A high school friend got me to go and now I am HOOKED! I adore golfing! I really wish I had more time (money) to do it more! Mom took me to her and dad's golf club. It was awesome! I actually didn't do bad for not having golfed in 2 years. I do a lot of digital scrapbooking. That's really fun! I would love to do regular scrapbooking but A) it's way too expensive and B) I can do a lot more with digital.
Well, I'm off to spend some quality time with my awesome husband. :)
