Zachary is 20 months old. Today he was sitting at his "computer" (a little vtech thinger) and I hear the computer say, "Find the letter T." Then I hear it say, "That's correct!"
This kind of stunned me so I came to sit down next to Zach. Over the course of 20 minutes he got all of the questions correct. . ."Find the letter ___."
So I thought, okay, he's just matching the letters on the computer to the keys. He doesn't really know his letters at 20 months. So I brought out my letter magnets (the ones I used teaching.) I handed him letter upon letter. "Zach, what letter is this. . ." HE KNEW THEM. ALL OF THEM.
He then put them up on the fridge naming each one. Then he handed me 2 letter "O's" and said, "Momma, 2 'O's'." Are you kidding me? My 20 month old. . .less than two. . .I mean I knew he was smart but. . .this seems really smart.
I video taped it because it seemed pretty unreal to me. If I can ever learn how to put video on this blog, I'll upload it.
P.S. I just love being the dumb jock of our family.

#19 on my 30 in 30 List
Make: A "pretty" cake
Okay I'll have to explain this one. I really do not want to get into cakes by any means. However, a few of my friends and my aunt do these AMAZING cakes *stacy, janna, etc* and I thought, Hmmmmmm can I do that????
When I made this list one of my friends was supposed to help me but that fell through. Sooooo, I did this cake on my own. I just wanted to try it! So, for no direction, no help and a lot of guess work, I thought it didn't turn out HORRIBLE! I don't think it classifies as a "pretty" cake. I hope to complete that for Loren's birthday but I can check this one off my list! I learned some things: 1) level cake then freeze! 2) Humidity does not help icing crust 3) Use different tip for grass! Hey, it's not a sheet cake with icing just put on top!
*oh "Man's Day" was a joke because we were celebrating Father's Day and Kris' b-day*

It's been so busy in Rozemaland lately! Thank you for the e-mails encouraging me to update the blog! Once VBS is over I will get on top of it more :). Loren has really been into dressing herself lately. Currently she is sitting on the couch with her pjs on and a princess dress on over top with a crown. She's beautiful. Yesterday she came down dressed as:

I guess it's indescribable. Mind you it was 80 degrees out. On a side note: What a mild summer we've had! You know why it's mild. . .because I'm not 6-9 months pregnant, THAT'S WHY! Why can't it ever be a mild summer when I'm HUGE? I digress. . .

Okay seriously this face never gets old! I adore this "CHEEEEEZE" face!

This is how the kids hug. Loren smooshes him to death! I mean Zach literally gags sometimes. They do have moments where they get along!

My best savings day yet! My bill came to $354 for all of this and I paid $120ish. Most of it was free. Mike went with me and he actually had fun too! It's addicting! BTW - anyone need some KC Masterpiece BBQ Sauce. I got it free. . .and a lot of it!

FINALLY! We got a Cozy Coup! Target was running a GREAT sale on them! They were $69 and we got it for $30. THANKS MOM! The kids love it.
We've been really busy lately with some Home Updating. I wish I would have taken a better "Before" picture of the kids bathroom. Here is the only one I have. . .

And here it is now:

Loren called it "Monkey Hang" when we bought the shower curtain 2 years ago. She dubbed the bathroom "Monkey Hang" and that's what it's been ever since. It's actually nice to distinguish the restrooms :)

Since I've begun couponing I have my own "grocery store" and I needed some storage room. We've ALWAYS hated our Laundry room. From the Retarded placing of the shelving to the awful wallpaper boarder. My fantastic engineer husband rearranged my laundry room (and it's so much more convenient)! He also built me some shelving for "Kimberly's Grocery Store." P.s. Wallpaper is the devil!
