The "Serendipiosity" 10 Year Anniversary Celebration

Ten years ago I was priviledged to marry my very best friend! He is still my best friend in the whole wide world! So, to honor him and our love for each other I made a date based off our favorite movie. . .see if by the end you can figure out our favorite movie! It was called, "The Date of 10!"
Us on our Wedding Day

My Rings, still beautiful!

First I took the 10s out of a few decks of cards and Glued "Clues" or "Events" to each. Then the games began!

The first clue was hidden in our garage. I told him to find it before we left. It took him forever! How did he not find it?

I drove us to Target where I presented him with clue #1

It was actually kind of hard to find gift(s) that were 10 or less!
Mike gave me a "Bath" I got 2 Dove chocolate bars, an US magazine and bath salts

I found a brown thermal shirt for Mike clearanced out for $5 and change. He loves those soft thermal shirts. It actually was an exciting find.

And for the Sheldon Lover in us all, I found The Flash underwear! Now why were those clearanced out?? I just cant figure it out.

The winner? Mike who . . .are we surprised. . .got $10.00 on the nose. Don't believe me, look at the receipt!

And earlier that day I had said, "You know what Christmas movie I really want some day? Holiday Inn. If you ever see it cheap will you grab it for me? Well, while I was shopping around, guess what I saw? Holiday Inn. . .and since I knew he only had $10 and the movie was $12, I knew he wouldn't get it for me. So, I went ahead and bought it myself. Only to find out that he cheated and bought it too. :)

Next I drove him to the St. Peters City Center and gave him Clue/Event #2

He found me out by the gazebo which was lit over a lake, just like the one he took me to 11 years ago and proposed to me. Only difference is that we didn't have to wade through 10 inches of snow to get to the gazebo!

So, it wasn't the exact spot where he proposed to me but we danced and he got down on one knee and asked me to be his bride for another 100 years!

When we got back in the car to warm up, I gave him clue #3

His first guess was Sushi. Then he asked for his clue: Listen here CLUE
What did you guess? He guessed Indian

Were you right too?

Our favorite Indian restaurant! We got Chicken Tiki Massala, Raita and Nan.

We left and I took him to the Embassy suites! I gave him this card and took off! His face was priceless!

After a ton of tries, he found me! It was really fun to watch him try to find me.

I took him around to our room and gave him the key. . .Only it wasn't our room. . .nor was it a key:

There was a #5 but that one is private ;)

He found #6 right away!

He was baffled! He couldn't figure out what I was going to make. I kept calling it "The Ultimate Blended Drink." Which you would have had to see our favorite movie 10000 times to get!

I was like, "Surely this can't be as good as everybody makes it out to be. . ." OH.BUT.IT.WAS. I therefore, give you the recipe:
His next clue he found in a drawer along with a glove that matched his :)

My wonderful husband building us a fire! Perfect man.
As he was building the fire, he found his next clue under one of my decorations! He was so excited! We played Castle and Pandemic. Guess who is still winning on our board!?!

Finally, a present in a present, in a present in a present to end our night. He was upset that I "got him something" but actually, I just wrapped up our movie!

Elf on the Shelf Day 14 and 15 and My Baby!

Jackson Clark my baby boy. How you've grown in the past few weeks even! You have picked up 5 new words in one week alone! You now say, "Nummy, Up, Mommy, Daddy, and Ba-ba" You are walking and talking! You play sweet games! You run up and lay your head on my lap and yell, "ohhhhh" so I'll rub your head. You hate vegetables more than anything! It's so funny that if we put a bite of mush-mash in your mouth, you will find the veggies and spit them out! I'll tell you what you do love, CAKE! Jack-Jack, our little blondie-blue-eyed-where-did-you-come-from baby, mommy and daddy love you. You stole our hearts the first moment we saw you and you continue to steal our hearts each time we see you now. . .especially when you sleep through the night!!

And what do you do with Art Noel the day after a party. . .something pathetic. . .look kids. . .Art Noel brought you breakfast!

Kids decorating their pop-tarts:

And tonight when we got home after seeing Granddad's basketball game Art Noel was sitting on my computer. He had a special note up for the kids. Santa had sent them each a note. Click on Loren's name to see her note from Santa.

Zach was hilarious during his video. As he waited to see if he was on the nice or naughty list, he was freaking out! When he heard he was on the nice list, he started celebrating! It was just adorable! I got it all on video. If I can ever figure out how to upload it, I'll show the last few seconds of him waiting to see if he was good or bad!

Now. . .off to figure out what Art will do tonight.
