SUPER MOM TO THE RESCUE!

So today I felt like Super Mom! I donned my cape and by 9:00 a.m. had 4 dozen cookies made, homemade play dough made (and being played with), 6 loads of laundry folded, kitchen cleaned, Tomato Cucumber Salad and veggie burgers made for dinner, and all of the DVD's sorted and put away. That was just this morning!

This afternoon I ran to the farmers market, made lunches, put laundry away and got two kids down for a nap.

Currently: I'm sitting down for the first time today. . .EEeeks! Being mom is tough stuff!

Memorial Day Weekend

I finally got stairs on my deck! Grandpa Rozema came down and helped Mikee put the stairs on the deck. It's odd, after they got a look at the deck it sure seemed as though there was a set of stairs there originally. . .hmmm. Anyway, now the kids can get down to the back yard from the upper level! So exciting! They turned out BEAUTIFUL!The Before PictureLoren watching to make sure Daddy and Grandpa are doing it well.
Construction is such a mess. Especially when you are doing it during intermittent rain storms!

Isn't this the most precious??

Loving Grandpa!

Finished with a gate and landing! Wonderful! I am so happy!

Prayer Request

This is from my friend Kathryn's blog. I know many of my friends will want to know this:

I also want to put out a prayer request for those who may be so inclined. I have been very blessed by the music of Stephen Curtis Chapman over the years. I had the opportunity of meeting the Chapman family and worshipping with them during my college years. Yesterday afternoon, around 5pm, tragedy struck their family and I know that they are in need of prayer. Their teenage son accidentally struck and killed their five-year-old daughter in the driveway of their home. I can't imagine the heartache they are feeling as they deal with the loss of their little girl while also consoling and comforting their son. This is one of those events that will change them forever. It makes my heart hurt for them. You can visit the Stephen Curtis Chapman website for more info.

Princess Tea Party

She spins and she sways to whatever song plays,
Without a care in the world.
And I'm sittin' here wearin' the weight of the world on my shoulders.
It's been a long day and there's still work to do,
She's pulling at me saying "Dad I need you!
There's a ball at the castle and I've been invited and I need to practice my dancin'"
"Oh please, daddy, please!"

So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms'
Cause I know something the prince never knew
Oh I will dance with Cinderella
I don't wanna miss even one song,
Cuz all to soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone

She says he's a nice guy and I'd be impressed
She wants to know if I'd approve of a dress
She says "Dad, the prom is just one week away,
And I need to practice my dancin'""Oh please, daddy, please!"

So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms'
Cause I know something the prince never knew
Ohh-oh ohh-oh, I will dance with Cinderella
I don't wanna miss even one song,
Cuz all to soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be goneShe will be gone.

Well, she came home today
With a ring on her hand
Just glowin' and tellin' us all they had planned
She says "Dad, the wedding's due six months away
And I need to practice my dancin'"
"Oh please, daddy please!"

So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms'
Cause I know something the prince never knew
Ohh-oh ohh-oh, I will dance with Cinderella
I don't wanna miss even one song, (even one song)
Cuz all to soon the clock will strike midnight And she'll be gone

I knew it!

I knew it would be a matter of when . . .not if! We were in the ER all morning for Loren! Loren was playing Ring Around the Rosie yesterday with the neighborhood girls and she fell. She was doing okay last night so we didn't worry about it too much. Well then this morning I went to get her up from bed and she took two horrible limping steps and sat down and goes, "No momma! It hurts really bad!" Well, that was it, I went to the ER!

Turns out they think she's just sprained it. I have to watch it until the end of the week. If she's still hobbling around then I'm going to have to take her back in.

Poor girl!

6 Months Old!

My sweet son is 23 and 3/4 lbs and 30 inches long. He's sitting on his own, rolling to get to his destination, going down for naps and night-night on his own. He giggles over everything and hardly ever cries! He has tried Oatmeal, Rice, Peas, Green Beans, and Carrots! Nothing makes him happier than his big sister!

Blessed Week!

My Sweet Boys! Yes, there are socks on Zach's hands! He got too cold at night!
Loren sees her Grandma and jumped out of my arms and bolted before I even saw Bonnie!

Grandma gets her hands on her grandson FINALLY!
Space Free-Fall ride! Oh my goodness! Loren loved this ride! I thought she'd freak out. She rode it 20 times. What 2 year old loves a free-fall?
Happy!

Tinker Toys! Daddy would be so proud.
Loren pretended that the tinker-toy was a magic wand. She was talking on it to her mommy like Abby in Sesame Street.

Having a meal with Grandma.
Yummy cup of Joe!

I don't know if you can see his poor rash! He broke out right after he wore sunscreen and had Green Beans for the first time.

Bob the Builder. . .Just like Grandpa!

I love how different they are yet how similar! Here eyes are as dark as his are bright yet look at the matching chins and noses. Ahhhh.
